- ✓ Your voter registration is as important as your passport or your driver’s license. Furthermore, regardless of your access to the issues, you have a responsibility to streamline the voting process.
- ✓ The right to vote was guaranteed by the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and subsequent amendments and court decisions. Voting has very specific protections and fundamentals in its own constitutional support.
- ✓ You are not legally required to vote. However, it’s your responsibility to inform yourself about candidates, propositions and other subjects that will be voted on; to find out how and when to vote; and to educate others in your home or workplace to do the same.
