Vote AK was launched by a group of legal scholars, public policy experts, and Alaskans with deep experience in legal advocacy and civic education. Vote AK is focused on providing free, accessible, and reliable information about elections in Alaska, election laws, and legal rights in the context of elections. It includes expert articles, guides, a rich resource library, and timely election updates to help build an educated citizenry. Vote AK is a nonpartisan, nonprofit initiative. Vote AK (the “Site”) does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Nonprofit Status and Resources Use

Vote AK is a nonprofit effort to deliver to Alaskans free, nonpartisan voting and legal information. All resources, articles, and guides are provided free of charge and may not be resold or used for commercial purposes or financial gain. No Vote AK publications may be used for fundraising, advertising, or partisan campaigning. We believe it is our duty to the public to provide meaningful information to help citizens in Alaska exercise their voting rights in an informed manner.

Donations and Funding Transparency

Vote AK accepts voluntary donations to help maintain and build out VoteAK.org and our other resources. Donations are designated for production costs, speaking or outreach costs, and nothing else. We do not take money that would make us beholden to a funding source that would interfere with our ability to cover the elections or function in a nonpartisan manner. Volunteer, Vendor, and Solicitor Addendum

Individuals desiring to submit content or volunteer with Vote AK will be subject to the editorial policies and these Terms of Use. All submissions must be original work and factually accurate and non-partisan. Submitting work to Vote AK allows Vote AK to edit, publish, and disseminate that work. Vote AK requests that volunteers and those submitting work do so with regard to the organization’s mission of providing factually accurate, easily accessible information and encouraging civic engagement for the state of Alaska.

Notice to Government Agencies and Officials

Vote AK will engage in collaboration with governmental entities, election officials, and non-profit organizations to promote initiatives aimed at enhancing voter education and increasing voter turnout. Any requests pertaining to data, partnerships with election officials, booth presence, or any form of official collaboration with Vote AK must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. Vote AK retains the right to evaluate and either accept or decline any such requests based on its established suitability criteria, as well as for the safeguarding of user privacy and the advancement of its mission.

Dispute Resolution

If any controversy arises between you and Vote AK with respect to these Terms of Use or the Site or its use, you are encouraged to contact us via our Customer Service team at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the matter informally. If we are unable to resolve the matter, both parties agree to engage in informal mediation before submitting the matter to the courts. Any unresolved disputes between the parties shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Alaska.

Survival
